"This past April, I signed up for Fit ForLife Boot Camp. I was looking for results and needed the motivation to get the results I was looking for. "Fit for Life totally changed my life. I was going through a difficult divorce, and my self-esteem was very low. I was surprised when I met with Stacey for the first time at FFL: the facility is very welcoming and not intimidating at all. "You know I was an athlete my whole life. I was never a gym rat! But once I started to work full time and didn't play sports anymore, I became pretty unhealthy. "I have been attending personal training sessions and classes at Fit for Life for over 3 years. I chose Fit for Life because I wanted one-on-one attention from a qualified instructor so that I could have a healthier life style and lose weight. That personal touch and attention that Fit for Life provided allowed me to lose 60 pounds during my first two years. Seeing the results every week and getting continued motivation from my trainers just helped me to keep on track and to get the weight off. Now that I am at a healthier weight, my goals have changed. I want to continue with a healthier lifestyle, but I also want to maintain my weight loss. Continuing to attend the personal training sessions has allowed me to do that. I also started attending the group exercise classes. "I have been at Fit For Life for the past four years. I joined after the birth of my daughter because I felt like I needed to lose the extra weight that I put on while I was pregnant. I have been a huge fan of Stacey and Fit For Life ever since! Not only have I lost the extra pounds, but I have gained confidence, strength, and have greatly improved my health! My cholesterol has gone down to a normal level. My body fat has decreased. I feel stronger and have more energy. "If you are looking for a class with a super-fun, super-motivating instructor, where you will burn calories and tone muscles look no further than Kettle Bells. When Stacey first introduced this class, my first thought was “I don’t really know what kettle bells are but they sound heavy and no fun” … I couldn’t have been more wrong. Stacey kept encouraging me to try the class and once I did, I was hooked. Heather is the instructor and she is fabulous! It’s a go-at-your-own-pace class where she teaches you the right way to do the exercises, explaining along the way how each one is benefiting whatever specific muscle group we are targeting. You get a great work-out and Heather helps modify the moves to accommodate those who are beginners like me, to people that are ready for something a bit more advanced. I absolutely love the class and look forward to every Thursday night & Saturday morning! Thank you Heather & Stacey!! "I am thrilled to have found Fit For Life!!!!!! I enjoy ALL the classes that I attend. The biggest difference has been working with Sean as a trainer!!! I was told that I needed to have a double knee replacement. The thought of that was quite concerning since a replacement knee lasts about 10-12 years....so I would have to have numerous surgeries in my lifetime. I began to train to see if this would be an alternative to surgery. My knees have not felt this good in years!!!! Sean has been great with suggesting a complete body workout routine that involves building up the knee and surrounding knee muscles. The difference is felt on a daily basis. "A little over a year ago I signed up for buddy training with Stacey. I was a little over 200 pounds, inactive, and not feeling great about myself…especially when faced with clothes shopping. With an obese BMI, my goal at the time was just to be overweight! Stacey was great at motivating and teaching me to eat better. She progressively challenged me without going overboard. When I started, I thought 30 seconds on the treadmill was daunting, but now I can do 1.5 miles in 15 minutes. I lost about 20 pounds over that year, but found that for a while I was simply maintaining my current weight, and needed some motivation to step it up again! Along came the ‘biggest loser’ competition… Ironically, I only joined it because my workout buddy did, and thought we would help each other if we both did it. I told myself I would be ecstatic if I lost 10 pounds, but wound up losing about 20! Keeping a food diary and adding extra workouts made a HUGE difference. Stacey really provided great advice on how to eat healthier. I went from a size 16 to a size 12 and feel great. I am motivated to keep going! "For the past few years, I have been the victim of a very fast-paced, hectic lifestyle. Since there are only so many hours in a day, something had to give for me, it was always exercise. I would often find myself making excuses, "I'm just too busy and I don't have the time." When the New Year rolled around, I decided that my goal for 2008 was to focus on myself. Among other things, I wanted to begin to lead a healthier lifestyle. I first began my journey at FIT FOR LIFE Personal Training Studio in late January. Instantly, I knew that this was the right place for me. I found myself looking forward to my workout sessions, and even more, I had developed a great new friend in Stacey! After a few minor setbacks during the month of February (business travel and illness), I have settled into a schedule that includes a total of 6 workout sessions per week (3 sessions at FIT FOR LIFE). I have drastically improved my eating habits, not only to enhance my overall health but to also reap the benefits of my hard work. Now, I can honestly say that exercise and nutrition have become a part of my daily routine- no more excuses! I have already begun to notice positive physical results, and I feel as though I am generally a happier and more energetic person.
